This shampoo is safe for all area rugs, including silks and antique, and the properties of each batch are documented to ensure the shampoo always lathers correctly at the perfect pH balance. Our technicians use brushes and paddles to massage the front and back of the rug multiple times to release all dirt and microparticulates. They dry your rug using nothing but wind and sunlight. We never use machinery or heat on your rugs. After the rug dries, it is paddled again to remove any remaining dust and allergens. We groom the rug and give it a final inspection before delivery.

AREA RUG INSPECTION PROCESS

Once customers bring in their valuable area rug for cleaning, we inspect it thoroughly. Each rug is unique. Area rugs come in different styles and fibers; Natural-silk, viscose-rayon-silk, wool-on-wool, wool-on-cotton, and cotton-on-cotton. The inspection process for each is similar, yet, the washing and caring of each rug differs. Natural silk rug is made of natural fibers that of a silk-worm; some silk rugs are made of viscose-rayon-silk, bamboo-silk, and other types of synthetic silks. To the untrained eye, they all look alike. However, we use a special technique to differentiate a synthetic silk rug from a natural silk rug. Our experts explain the matter during the silk rug inspection process. If the rug has no damage, we schedule an organic hand-washing treatment. But, if the rug shows some wear and tear, we might suggest first to repair the damaged area before cleaning the rug.
